This week, we look at the mystical dysphasia tale 'Whalesong,' a story which appeared in Issue 8 of Inkspill Magazine. (Once on the Inkspill site, just click on the 'Click Here to Read' button in the image of the pages, or indeed any part of the image, to see.)
This is a melancholic and otherworldly tale that centers around a man's relationship with his brain-damaged sister. It features deliberately odd word play, and a largely first-person perspective.
I hope you enjoy this, which is likely my favorite so far out of my stories which have been picked up by journals, reviews, or magazines.
