I've been sitting on my finished novel 'Out the Door' for a while, making revisions to it slowly and painstakingly rather than ultra-speedily like my last book. I'm enjoying the process much more this way. As is my usual manner, however, I've been chugging away at my next novel - 'Formland' - and I've gotten quite far into it. It's an intricate, strange Sci-Fi book, and I am having loads of fun.
For one thing, there are lots of characters who have the power of speech. Not so true about 'Out the Door,' which as many of you may recall is about a powerful cat who doesn't like people much.
I've been through a lot in the last month and three days, having discovered I have epilepsy by having a massive, violent seizure on Christmas day and then having to be hospitalized when my kidneys shut down almost completely. So after nearly dying and finding out my brain rhythms are inherently flawed, I was finally able to get back to work on writing.
Not writing sucks - and I hope I never 'not write' again.
